Did you really mean a Powerpoint image?

You could copy an image from inside a Powerpoint presentation and save that to disk as normal..

right, why the fuck would you go to staples or pc world to get something printed out - they may sell printers, but as far as i know they don't offer an image printing service.

did you mean spectrum, the shop mentioned in the other thread?

if so, then yes I'm fairly sure they'd be able to print from powerpoint, but possibly only on their colour printers as opposed to their actual digital printing lab.. unless you asked nicely / paid a bit extra for them to transfer it from powerpoint format to jpg for you so you can get it printed on the photolab.

it really depends if you're wanting a standard photo / large format photo print like the ones you used to get from film, or an a4 or a3 colour print.

either way they should be able to do it, but if in doubt try changing it to jpg / gif format yourself.

if its in an office program chances are it might be lo-res crap anyway which will look terrible when printed. Maybe not.

God nows why people feel the need to put images in word etc rather than just leaving them as the file itself

anyways just take it to a high street printer they should be able to sort it no probs :D

thanks everyone, i panicked and ended up going to some lovely people at a digital printers next to me and they helped me out. I saved 1 page powerpoint image as a JPEG and they just printed it off for me.

I am no expert and the resolution was shit, but hey my interviewers loved it. and they laminated it for me.

and they did it all for free. how nice was that?

The nesletter however i had to take to staples as the digital printers count accept the right format for newsletter style it kept changing it but i think that could have been my fault.

so on to a disk it went and off to staples i went, who charged me £3.45 for 1 a4 sheet of paper to be printed.

But hey ho, it may have been worth it as they loved that too.

just got to hope i get the job now.
