Encouragingly, the service has already sold several hundred downloads within hours of going live this week. The new digital imprint makes all existing Anjunabeats material available to buy as a high quality download, but will also feature hot and exclusive digital-only content. To kick things off, AnjunaDigital is offering exclusive new download-only remixes of Smith and Pledger ‘Forever’, including mixes from Tiesto favourite ‘Mark Norman’ and Oakenfold-championed prog genius ‘Aspekt’. “It’s good news on a number of levels," said label owners Above & Beyond. “People shouldn’t feel bad about wanting to download music, it’s just taken a while for the right technology to be available to give people what they want – high quality, legal downloads.” "We get lots of emails from non-vinyl users asking where they can buy Anjunabeats tracks on CD, so hopefully this will go some way to helping these people.” Above & Beyond added: “We get sent so much good stuff that it’s just not feasible to release everything on vinyl.
