Bit of a fan favourite at Sunderland like, always got a good reception when he came on... You know your career is on its arse when you come on away at Everton for your highly awaited debut for your new club, and the whole away end is up to the sound of: "Andy Cole, Andy Cole, Andy Andy Cole, He got the ball and scored some goals, 10 years ago" Even though we were 5-1 down at the time i was in fucking stitches
He was unbelivable, i remem the day we signed him from Bristol City i didnt have a clue who he was then he smashed one in against Barnsley at home at the Gallowgate end and it went on from there, Peter Beardsley help make him the player he was cos he laid fkn loads on for him and they just played so well together. Aye there used to be nowt better than the whole ground in uproar to the Andy Cole song, i was so pleased i had a Season Ticket our first Season in the Premiership as well cos he smashed loads in then.
