    i got offered a card off my mate earlier on yesterday:

    Nvidia GeForce 6600 256Mb: 40 quid.

    any good? AND its PCIexpress - will that plug into a PCI socket??

    i read a few days ago you can acutally plug a PCIe card into a PCI terminal....?

    put that in your pipe and smoke it!

    unless, of course, microsoft is wrong perhaps?

    nah i havent bought it yet - it just means i've basically gotta buy a new fucking PC just to play one game :lol:

    what a cunt. i bet my case just isnt "right" either.

    anderzz knock me up a basic "to buy" list and al get em on monday and play Mechano/PC lego all monday afternoon. you will obviously get a call when i realise i dont know fuck all about how computers worked, which is funny cos i knew alot more about them a few years ago. :lol:

    dunno - as cheap as you can get it tbh. dont want a mega machine, because i'm just gonna get a mega laptop for crimbo instead. so like Min/Med spec for a mild mannered lad :wink:

    also i've found out that i have a class sound card apparently - and i sort of have to keep it in.

    my kid thought he would become some kind of producing legend about 3 month ago - bought a 300 odd quid soundcard thinking he would need it.

    and he still hasnt done out worthwhile.

    i think its a RME HDSP 9652 by my sys Info.

    thats the only thing i HAVE to keep tho mate :wink:

    You can get a mobo/cpu/ram bundle for under £100 that should compliment a graphics card like that. Or, you could buy an agp card?

    300 quid is the kinda money you wanna be spending. That would give you a good spec machine. Nothing too mega. but good for a year or so at least
