Nah, immigration doesn't bother me in the slightest mate. Just found it quite funny and unexpected. Didn't realise there was a big French population in the UK.

Yup - I love it! It makes life so much more interesting. I live in a heavily Portugese area - brilliant for tapas.

Cool, my mate's just moved there.

Was round last week, seems like a pretty cool area to be.

I really like it. We're about ten minutes walk from Vauxhall station, towards Stockwell. We're hoping that our landlord will want to sell the flat when we're looking to buy in October. If not, we'll be looking in the Kennington/Oval/Vauxhall/Stockwell area anyway.

Toronto is the most multicultural place I've ever seen - pretty much every country you could think of had its own microtown - and it worked incredibly well, unlike as so often suggested for the UK.

And contribute more overall to the economy than they take out, evevn if it is by a small amount.

From Migration Watch (an anti-immigration group) on 3 January 07:

"New figures out today reveal that, on the Government's own figures, the benefit to each member of the native population of the UK from immigration is worth about 4p a week."
