just booked up to go to amsterdam for 2 nights, staying in the bulldog hostel. has anyone used this hostel before and know of any bars that are gona play decent music ?

the last time i went all the coffeeshops seemed to play drum and bass that was older than me.

the bulldog over there is like the macdonalds of koffee shops

mint like, no idea where youl find some good music, mick(play) or dan(urban merlin) could probs point you inthe right direction as theyve not long been back

let mo know when u'r goin and i can let u know whats on where.

is the bulldog a proper tourist trap like, we're only staying in the hostel bit like, it looked really nice on the website !

I've stayed there twice

It's a hostel, but labelled as a 5 star one. The place is immaculate, has a nice bar & you can smoke in it as well! :chill:
The breakfast is lovely too; fresh bread-buns with cheese, ham and salami, coffee & Juice etc

Cheap as chips as well, something like £30 for two nights B&B!

Michael is right though. The Bulldog name is like McD's in Amsterdam! Avoid the coffee shops like the plague, but the hotel is sweet

Had a mint weekend at the dam

perfectly fine , just walk through customs holding a sign saying i've no drugs and you should be ok

looks and sounds mint, need to go for the weekend like, only been on the boat and didnt have enough time to explore. will more than likely return sooner rather than later..:groovy:

yeah the boat is shite, takes 14 hours and makes you spend more money whilst flying takes little over an hour and you save a shitload.


flights were £37 return, cant ask for much more than that.

as i found out by having fuk all money left on the way back

i hate the fact that the food available on the boat is fucking scandalous. 6 quid cold sarnies anyone ?

i survived on rubber hot dogs for 3.50 a bash or summit like that

when the shops open u can get toblerones and vodka like, but thats hardly a substitute for decent scran.
