Amsterdam Record Shops Well people, I finally make the trip on Thursday. The only thing I'm really looking forward to about the trip though, is tune shoppin. Lookin forward to bringin back some decent quality underground stuff that'll never see more than a handful of UK decks. So, anyone been across before and know of anywhere I should check out?
Crike.. record shops in Amsterdam that sell any Trance or HH are few and far between.. trust me, i spent an entire day look around the city, could only find 3 places that sold anything like this.. and i was surprised at the lack of variety. The roecord shops are near the red light disrtict, around the main shopping area. The nightlife of Amsterdam is amazing though.. you'll enjoy yourself anyway!
when i was over i found a few maybe 3 or 4, they were all on the pedestrian road that runs off the main street. They werent that impressive from what i remember, they seemed to be just full with the vocal remix of flight 643.. but i was too wrecked to sit and look through loads of records so i gave up the best thing to do is go in and ask the bloke at the counter to pick u some out.
Oddly enough, hip-hop is quite prevalent there.. but i did spot the odd house vinyl in some shops, just have a look around
