I ordered: James Joyce - Ulysses (the real version) George Orwell - 1984 (the grown up version Tolstoy - War and Peace Leon Uris - Exodus Dershowitz - case for Israel Up form slavery hellen keller the soul of black folk and heaps more. I got 4 books, 2 of which i didn't order, the other 2 were the wrong versions
I read 1984 when I was too young to understand and I hadn't read exodus.... although both ahve now been well and truelly read :d the book I mentioned "the case for israel" is deffinatly a book you should read being politically inclined... it is a fascinating pro-israeli read, as provoking as chomsky but form a right wing perspective
The film is good Burmese Days or Keep The Aspidistra Flying have more moving relevance to me, 1984 is too close to todays corporate reality to be considered fiction anymore Prefer the musical version: "Water Helen, waaaater!"
