Allen and Heath XONE 3D Take a look at this! http://www.decks.co.uk/products/mixers/allen_heath/xone3d Imagine having one of those - looks brill. NO IDEA WHAT IT DOES MIND!
used an allen a heath xone, it was alright not my fav mixer tho, the cross faders are nasty for trying to scratch
Yeah well if you could scratch if the first place... IMO if you use the EQ's when mixing you cant get any smoother that an A&H
the midi stuffs for controlling computers probably good for something like abelton live, giving you all you need in one device instead of having lots of different equipment.
A&H, while lovely quality, have dogshit monitoring! Not being able to hear eq adjustments in the headphones is shit IMO.
Better beleive it, I was suprised myself! it's just flat monitoring on the 64, most unimpressive....especially shit when the only monitor you have is broken!
Christ, every single mix i do has eq tweaks on it before i bring it in - Thats a very strange concept.........
Im sure they are stonking mixers - but how do you get around not being able to tweak levels pre-mix. Its almost like going backwards to take a small step forwards.
posted about this ages ago..... http://www.nucastle.co.uk/showthread.php?s=&threadid=47142&highlight=allen+heath does everything but make the tea......
Certainly wouldnt be on my list like, can't stand not being able to hear exactly whats about to come out of the speaker in my headphones!
Xone 92: I won't be getting a 3D, I'm holding out for a limited run of the CTRL mixer modified by Hawtin (if it ever happens).
its all down to personal opinion, i hate the cross fader and the eq's on the xone 62 because the cross fader is quite stiff and for some reason doesn't pick up anything sound wise until its almost centre (yes i tried differant setting with the curve). I like to have a fool round with the eqs aswell, so its hard when they're as stiff as they are on the xone62, saying that its the only xone mixer i've tried, the others might be differant.
