curbs had thrown his name into the frame now as well http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11095_4596058,00.html
His house still is'nt sold and it's closer to SMB land than he was Newcastle, i deffo think he is gonna get the job - he will probs end up doing ok wi them being a smaller club n that cos obviously the Newcastle job was just to big for him....
If yous hadnt sacked him you would be in top 8 possibly top 6 at the minute instead of having Joe Kinnear
No we wouldn't. The one thing he should of learnt is that he cant put in place what he had when he left Bolton straight into another club. He need to build & implement things on a gradual basis.
He was a renowned defensive tactical manager yet very quickly made ours worse than it was. We were playing terrible football under him, it was painful to watch us play when he was Manager. Managers do need time I agree, however you look at teams like Blackburn, Tottenham, Newcastle who cant afford not to be in the Premiership with the players they have & need to make these executive decisions such as reliesing before it's too late that the Management who you have in place could potentially sink the club & loose all of it's big players fucking the club up for years never mind a season. Bottom line for us is that Ashley needs to go, he has no respect from the fans, he's made some terrible decisions & has seen the club as an investment thinking he could make a quick buck & its all went horribly wrong. The club at one point was a total circus with him trying to sell it then denying any involvement with investors, until a a few days later they'd actually come out in the press & state they knocked back buying the club! the blokes an idiot. Get the right Director in who isn't a clown, has a bit of a business head on him & genuinely wants the best for the club & we'll come good, were lacking a massive amount of faith in NUFC & it shows when we play. Thats one good thing about Sunderland I must admit, although im not a fan of Quinn he does have the Clubs best interest at heart & I truly believe he's there wanting to win things & not to line his pockets. I never thought id say this in a million years but I miss the days of Shepherd & Hall.
