even though i'm a trance head, i usuall think i can do better than most trance compilations, so would say:

yoda - how to cut and paste 2
    soulwax - too many djs

The 80's megamix and reggae mix are both good on vol2... Gonna have to go and listen to them both again now!

vol 1 has the scratch skits, and thunderbirds but only a couple of really great tunes

vol 2 has a-team, 80s megamix (rick astley:love: ), a better reggae mix and loads and loads of class hip hop tunes!the last 2 ones by wo-tang are amazing!

although the rhubard tart and if you wanna know the time ask a policeman are a bit too random!

    1) definately the first Renaissance... spawned so many classics : 2 Bad Mice, Age of Love, etc... infact - i think i love that album.

    2) Perfecto Flouro (1996) with the original version of 'Adagio for strings' (from the 'Platoon' soundtrack anyways) and Bjork. class stuff.

    oohhhhhh!

cut an paste 2 an too many dj's would also be upthere, but still cannot topple the hacienda 1, probs cos no1 else plays it, so all the tunes haven't been overplayed (as a whole) an it reminds me of 'the good old days' ;) :)

Its a total classic... even today you can put it on and it sounds brilliant... something which todays "hype" albums could never hope to do.
