    Just so you know ... While ive been over here ive bought :

    75cl Bottle of Bacardi White Rum - 5.50 (pounds)

    75cl Bottle of Southern Comfort - 7 quid

    Bottle of Penfolds Rawsons retreat merlot (7 quid in the uk) - 3.75 quid.




    Just goes to show how much we get ripped off over in the UK eh :mad:

    I've been ID'd for buying booze a few days ago, ive never felt so young in a long time .... (nearly 26 aswell) LOL.

    aye they ID you in US if you look under 30.

    i had to stop smoking for 2 weeks when i went. i was gutted lol

    no drink till you are 21 - what a fucking joke!

    it just means they go mental when they are above 20 IMO.

    During my stint in "The States" I went to the REAL Lizard Lounge in Dalla's Tx and ordered a Gin & Lemon at the bar. The Mexican had trouble understanding what I meant but gave me a white/green coloured shot. I went back to my table and asked my female yankie companian to taste the drink to check it was Gin. She took a sip then a minute later loads of security arrived and said we had to leave because I had bought a minor some alcahol, I tried to explain but we got turfed! just fucking paid in as well!! strict as fuck.

    Aye not even funny, it's considered a hard drug over there, getting pissed is frowned on upon by a lot of the youth population.

    They would line their panties if they saw Spoons on a friday night, 15 y/o is effective legal age in UK imo.

    :lol: when i was working there (i was 17 at the time) my co-workers said that if i had my drinking habits over there, i'd probably be put into rehab!!! :p

    i did try buy a pint in the pub in the 'british' section of epcot centre in disneyland :lol: i was 17... didn't realise they were that tough... my arguement of " i get served normally in british pubs" didn't go down well.


    but i bought a bottle of jack and a bottle of jim beam on the way home duty free :up:

    It was the Price of cars and most things that got my back up in states

    BMW 325 cost only 10 Grand
    Porsche 911 Finance worked out as 250 quid a month and petrol was 12p a litre !!!

    Trainers where mega cheap

    Nike Rifts 20 quid, Shox 28 quid same pair cost 130 pound over here.

    Clothes where so cheap as well

    Being over there made me relise how much we get ripped off over here
