Alan Thompson i think it is vital he gets a full 90 minutes tonight and answers any questions over whether he is our answer to the problematic left side. discuss.
Would be great to see him get a full game but he has to start and get at least 60 mins. If he doesnt start i cant see any chance of him goin to Portugal
Re: Alan Thompson I hope he does well and secures a place for the finals. He has a sweet left foot but as much as I think he should be in the squad I don't think he's good enough for that level. I guess England don't have anyone good enough for the left side of midfield IMO, Thommo included. Mon the HOOPS
i think he'll do ok! lacks pace but aslong as he can get the ball across then the left side problemis solved.
the guy can pass a ball as accurate as beckam and has a better scoring record in europe than beckham. Why shouldnt he get his place... I'd say they are both evenly matched in the free kick dept too..

Re: Alan Thompson defiantly agree mate; i've hardly seen him so will be interesting to see what he's like.. although sven has admitted that it's possible eleven changes will be made at half time.. also the main reason why some people in the squad is because of the eleven injuries/bans we have.. it is like a b-side really.. remember when (now team-mate) sutton snubbed playing for england b because he didnt think he was being given an real oppurtunity for promotion... anyway the point i'm making is..is he being given a real opportunity or is he there to fill the numbers whilst there is so many injuries, bans.. would he be in the squad if everyone was available?? has sven his final22 in mind???...
