    Alan Smith

I don't get all this hero worshiping, the guy has had a very average season and was part of a relegated team.

How many goals has he scored?

I would give him the most over rated player of the year award. :D

he's only scored one in four for leeds, unlike viduka who has scored nearly dead on one in two but will be no doubt made a scapegoat for being sent off twice stupidly in the last few games. i hope viduka is better for the chelsea match and plays well on his last match so the fans don;t blame him - if it wasn;t for him we would have been relegated certainly last season (scored 14 in the last 10games:eek:)

do you think smith should go to portugal???

    owen (def)
    heskey
    rooney
    smith
    vassel

    ???

Smith will be sold in the summer after the Elland Road club were relegated to Division One, but had previously hinted he would be looking for a club abroad.

"At this stage you can't rule out anything," Smith told BBC Five Live.

"People say that Leeds and Manchester United are big rivals but we're not even going to be in the same division so it's not even a rivalry."

Smith has played approx half his games for Leeds on the right wing or in centre mid. Goals are not everything, not even for a front man.

Top top class. His first touch is as good as anyone in the world.

He should def go to Portugal.

i agree, he hasnt got the most prolific goalscoring record but runs his socks off, has a a quality touch and has really good movement.

I think he is the best partner for Owen, because he does everything Owen doesnt do, and vice versa.

You only need one prolific goalscorer in a strike partnership. As long as the strike partner weighs in with a few, and does everything else well.

Id certainly have him in ahead of Heskey (not good enough) or Vassell (too similar to Owen).
