After Parties...

    After Parties...

    Just recently, say over the last 6 months or so i seem to be enjoying the afterparties more than the nights themself's.

    I'm getting weary of seeing the same Dj's doing the same sets over and over again.

    I love getting back to my mates and causing carnage - that's why July was so ace, we just had loads of mad bbq's etc.

    Anyone else like this or am i just getting old? :lol:

    I reckon its people who eventually get sick of turning up to clubs to see overpaid dj's play samey music over and over to a baying crowd.... who would rather socialise with their friends in a nice atmosphere .... than pay for overpriced drinks, sit on slimy seats and put up with monged chavs ;)

    I love clubbing - but there are definately alot of 'ok ive had enough of this' moments these days ;)

    I sometimes catch myself thinking during a night out 'I'm looking forward to just sitting in the pub tomorrow afternoon'! :lol:

    couldn't agree more.

    BBQ's starting at 7pm then going on till 7am, though funnily enough no one was every very hungry? ;)

    We just generally get really battered with lots of cd's then my mates'll start on the decks, ace nights :D :wiggle:

    You could very well argue that dance music and clubbing has come full circle with this ...

    .... People caring less and less about mass marketed, overpriced hype - and going back to the real 'spirit' of this scene (which back in 1989 or whatever was totally alien to most people) which is more about hedonism than capitalism.

    Oh and it's the worst feeling ever to leave a club with people you hardly know because your loved up, then a few hours later be sitting in absolute silence cos noone knows anyone else outside of clubbing :lol:

    I don't have a clue who's on at half the nights I go to now, gone are the days when I'd religiously check the set time sheets..

    As for afters, I'd rather just go for a drink at a decent time with my mates..

    everyone gets like this at some point i think?

    then figure out its best to live a varied life an do other stuff and clubbing a little less...

    i hate afterparty's where i don't know most of the people so duck out if i think its gonna be like that...

    even then you usually get one dick pissing everyone off all night/morning...
