    Affliction 2 (Spoilers)

A good start to the night with the groin shots

Vitor Belfort was reminiscent of his former self back in the early days of the UFC, pretty nasty knockout

Barnett was boring as fuck and his excuse afterwards 'I was choking on my own blood so had to be careful' made me laugh.

Fedor. Fucking WOW  Arlovski got a bit to trigger happy. Flying knee during the feeling out process of the first round, against Fedor? Big mistake lol. Fedor's first KO victory :D

The commentating and Tito's interviewing was piss poor throughout the whole event. Tito to Fedor: "Let me tell you how you feel"

I'm hoping someone here watched the event :p

Just finished watching it mate, really enjoyed it,

Lindland wasnt half knocked out like.Vitors still got it.

I was hoping Arlovski could pull off the upset and early signs were promising but hes got a worse chin than Amir Khan and Fedor knew he just had to be patient.

Good to see De La Hoys commitment to affliction by turning up at this instead of being in vegas for the Mosely Vs Magarito fight.Im praying that affliction keeps growing as genuine competition for the UFC as the varietys nice to have

Aye but would he have done so if they hadn't paid him millions for it :(

Fedor got $300,000 and no win bonus. Arlovski got $1.5mil and would have got a $250,000 win bonus. That's fucking weird and out of order if you ask me. There's rumours that Fedor may have got a percentage of the PPV but I still think it's out of order.

Production value was a bit shit and I still can't get over some of the fuck ups by the commentary team. At the press interviews it sounded like there was some cause for concern about the future, with Attencio saying "There has to be competition, whether it's us or somebody else. Hopefully there's somebody out there that will continue to give [these fighters] a home and hopefully it will be us." Doesn't sound like the words of someone who's event was a massive success.

Is this a fact or forum speculation?

He was paid about 5mil. There's different speculations for what it was for though. Using the GB brand, showing his face around etc etc.

I'd have thought with them being in a partnership, there should be no need for payouts like that.

Edit: Well, there's mixed rumours now. During the Shane Mosley and Antonio Margarito event, Larry Merchent commented on him being paid 5mil to attend Affliction. Obviously it was a boxing fans jab at MMA, but there must also be some truth in the claim for him to have said it. Guess we'll find out in the next few days.
