May be a Microfilter problem, my connection go's down when i use the fone in another room..
This is because im too tight to spend 10 quid for a microfilter per phone in house to solve the problem, would end up costing me about 50 quid lol

GRRRRRR!!!!! Its just taken me 30mins to get a connection.
    BT are CRAP!
The tech support are just kids reading out stuff from their computer screen, usually coming up with the fantastic solution of unplugging, rebooting and plugging back in !!

usually have to tell the gimps on the other end of the phone what the problem is - 90% of the time its usually down to BT's equipment being crap, routers going down, authentication servers unavailable, DNS not found. ARGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

About time someone broke BT's monopoly on the thing !!!

    Use pipex dns - 158.43.192.1

    It's better (IMHO)

I use plus.net for my isp but use pipex for dns because I get static IPs on plus.net. Although you will often keep the same IP on pipex for months if not years there is no guarantee of this.

Plus.net is only about £23 per month and the support is good.

    eerrrrrr.... pipex..??
    *shudders*

    nasty nasty nasty !!!

Aint that just one step above AOL ???

    eerrrrrrggghh !

Besides its not usually the DNS itself but the routing to it!
Anyone try doing a tracert when you're on BT?
The packets bounce around the country several times via reading, bletchley, ilford, manchester, etc etc ITS A TOTAL JOKE !

Dont see why people moan about the BT service.

Not a problem with it here in over a year..... (apart from stuff thats been my fault).

People just love to hate BT ;)

Tis the age old AOL situation innit.......... :D

Most adsl fuckups are caused by the toss modems that most peeps have. Get a router and the service is totally diffrent, my link's been up for over a month (using a speedtouch 510).
