Accelerated Motions (The Story behind the mix) Accelerated Motions (The Story behind the mix) After 9 years on the old turntables, I finally decided to ditch the wax and join the digital revolution, But before I could actually get down to some mixing, many problems happened to me on actually getting a pair of Pioneer Cdj 800 Mk2’s, On the 11th October I decided to order a pair of cdj’s on finance, But to my shock, only 1 deck arrived, I phoned the company to see where my other 1 is and they said it was out of stock, it will be sent as soon as they get it back in, Weeks later and many phone calls to enquire about the 2nd deck, finally they could give me an approximate delivery date, they said 27th November, The date then was the 28th October so I decided to look elsewhere for a 2nd Cdj. I found another company so I decided to order 1 cdj on finance, only more bad luck was to happen. They took the money out of my account, not the finance deal that I wanted. I phoned them as soon as they sent confirmation e-mail, No answer on the phone, No answer to my e-mails either as they bounced back immediately, I did some research on them to find that people had been stung by them before and the finance company they use is now bankrupt. 8 days went by before I finally made contact with the company, only to some hard research I finally tracked the mobile phone number of the bloke who was dealing with my order, The money was put back in 4 days after I eventually spoke to him. On the 20th November & 3rd time lucky I went for a trusted company who sent me a cdj 2 days after my order was processed, I was sick of messing about with finance so I paid cash, When it arrived, I signed and as soon I shut the door, I opened the box like a 5 year old on Christmas day and went to go and find some tunes to download, Quick check of the e-mails only to find that the 1st company I originally ordered from had shipped my deck and it was due within the next 24 hours, I had to send it back, but I originally wanted their finance deal so I was down £520 after the whole ordeal Anyway I spent all of last night (21st November) tune searching and got myself onto the decks today (22nd November) It’s a little rusty in places but I only had the decks and tunes under 24hrs, Slight different feel from Vinyl to Cd but it’s the same pair of ears I can only use.
