In November 08 Rascal completed his Netherlands debut spinning the infamous ‘Asta’ venue in Den Haag alongside Luna, Josh & Wesz, A-Lusion and many more. His appearance on Dutch radio station ‘Fresh FM’ saw his style reach a new worldwide fan base. Rascal is also the Hardstyle ‘guru’ for the Uks leading ‘underground’ dance magazine ‘CORE’ where his monthly contributions have helped corrupt our youth into the disgusting world of hardstyle helping an ever growing scene to evolve and amplify. As His skills progressed so did his style of music, although he enjoyed the sounds of trance it was harder edge that started to inspire him especially after seeing the likes of dj Scot Project and Dumonde. After a short period, although still loving the feeling Hard trance gave him, he stumbled on a genre by pure accident called Hardstyle after finding back street record store in Manchester…this stroke of luck helped him shape not only his sound but define himself self as the dj he wanted to aspire to! On discovering hardstyle it help him to begin to create his own do style as well as finding his signature tunes within his chosen genres to help him really standout from the many brilliant dj’s on the scene. Not content just “playing records” he honed his skills on the deck’s by adding turntable elements to his set’s by intrigrating lightening fast cuts , and chopping, looping and adding well timed but enhancing EFX, it is these element’s that Alan has become extremely well known for, along with his unique track listing’s and his ability to manipulate the records at will to create some creatively different to the tracks that he plays live But not only that, he quickly realised that you need to be crowd entertainer and showman to really impress! as today’s dj has to have many weapons in their arsenal to stand out from the fantastic talent that grace’s the hard dance scene today. In the time that followed on he successfully impressed not only clubber’s but also promoters at gigs at many of the finest hard dance nights and underground nights in the uk to which then led him on to earning some proud residencies to which he is still extremely grateful for, as they have helped get to where he has got to in the difficult scene today. Alan has gone on to play at some of the finest hard dance nights in europe and also across the globe and many of the underground nights the UK has to offer, he has also gained through lot of hard work the respect of his piers and also obtained some prestigious residencies up and down the country through not only impressing promoters, but the masses of clubbers that have become fans along the way! GARL & HYDE (ABSOLUTION RESIDENTS) - GARL - (Anthony Garlinge) is a young talented dj from South Shields playing genres from tech trance/dance through to hard dance & hardstyle. Having been in the scene less that a year, he has already he has rocked some of the biggest and best events in the UK. In this short space of time he has gained 2 residences at HOSTILE and ABSOLUTION. He also has had bookings @ MAYHEM, THE HARDER TIMEZ MESSY WEEKENDER and last but not least KIDDSTOCK! He has had the privilege of playing along side some of the very best in, the likes of, Scot Project, Kidd Kaos, Mark EG, Proteus, Dark By Design, Kamui, Bootek, Dj Luna, Suni Feenix, Shaun T, Uberdruck, Louk, Nick the Kidd, Vandall, Hostile Squad, Markus Shultz, KRM and DJ Pinas. 2010 looks very promising for this lad, having started producing small projects from home over the past 6 months, he no doubt will be releasing some stuff in the not to distant future - HYDE - (Michael Hyde) is fairly new to the scene but has always had the passion for the music and is a regular to most of the big events in the UK. Michael started dj-ing in his bedroom at 13 years old on some newmark belt drives, playing hard house tunes to his friends every week. He began to delve deeper into the scene and quickly became hooked on buying tech trance, hard dance and hardstyle vinyl. His career took offl very recently @ ABSOLUTION. In the past year he has quickly gained himself a residency @ ABSOLUTION along side Garl (Anth Garlinge) where he has honed his skills, which have led him to a set @ HOSTILE alongside the mighty Scot Project.
