ableton as a sequencer ok im finally sick of fruityloops, i know ive said it not what u use etc etc in the past but i want to start looking a more advanced packages as i feel limited in fruity looking at cubase or ableton has anyone got any experience of ableton as a sequencer and is it worth it? or should i go for cubase.
fruity is pretty much as advanced as your going to get mate, what do you want to be able to do with your new package.
i keep getting told ill achieve a 'cleaner' sound with cu or ableton - obviously id rather stay with fruity as i know it well but if people are going to keep saying things like "you can tell fruity tracks" etc then i may as well make the change...
thats just people who don't have a clue, guyver uses fruity for his tracks you can't tell he uses it can you? I don't use fruity myself, i don't like the way it arranges i prefer squencing to pattern based work. But if thats what your used to I would stick with it.
cubase doesn't really have many features that fruity doesn't, cubase is full of a lot of shit that you will never use, i use cubase and i love it, but if you move to it your tracks won't become any better.
