    Aaron Hughes

Gone to Villa for £1 million, find it hard to believe that O'brien gets a new contract and Hughes gets let go and for so cheaply, hard to believe in the past few years Villa have signed Solano and Hughes for a combined total of around £2.5 million

I thought Hughes was shite after Nobby left anyway so it makes sense for him to link up with him.

He is a better player more consistent and alot more versatile than OB though, surely if u were gonna get shot of a defender it would be him rather than Hughes

I would of got rid of both.

Versatile?!?! Yes he will makes a better sub than OB, I used to buzz when Souey had Hughsie on the bench instead of O'B.

    Versatile

Well if i'am not mistaken has hughes not played every position across the back four for you this season, surely that makes him pretty versatile

HE IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH!!! NOR IS OB!! NOR IS ELLIOTT!!! BABBA IS BUT HE PREFERS SHAGGING SO HE CAN GO AS WELL!!!

Hughsie best postion is a sub or squad member

Miller I know where you sit @ SJP so you better not be giving Hughsie big fooking licks. You have had a prime seat watching Hughes v left wingers

Agreed he's not the best, but is he worth selling for a million? He's never let us down, and he can play anywhere in the back four. I just hope is replacement is upto the job!

This certainly is going to be the most interesting summer in NUFC's history!

TBH I don't think he has either. He's always just been the same old Aaron Hughes. When he was playing with Nobby he did quite well, but that was probably more to do with Nobby making him look good

It's not like he's greatly improved though. Obviously he's a lot more experienced now, but imo still hasn't improved into a much of a better player. I can remember when he played at centre half years ago, and was quite good, but he's never gone on from there. He's gone backwards if anything. He's never got his confidence back from when Solano went
