Re: A scanner darkly Its floating around on torrent sites at the minute tho I think its just a cam version.
Re: Re: A scanner darkly i know yeah, the hd trailers look awesome. They well need to start setting up some hd cinemas, that would be awesome
The book is one of the best things that i have read. Hope the film up there with Bladerunner as an adaptation of a phillipe K dick novel.
Re: Re: Re: Re: A scanner darkly they aren't they use tape real don't they, which is an anolgue form of video, ie not digital.
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: A scanner darkly Doesn't mean HD is better, it's still a limited amount of pixels on the screen. HD is still a way off cinema quality, the proposals for digital cinemas use much, much higher resolutions than HD.
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: A scanner darkly eh? hd resolutions can be any pixel size you want? hd just means resolutions higher than normal ie dvd and tv quality. Tbf you could argue that normal analogue video in essence is better than digital because it doesn't have a resolution, because resolutions only exist in the digital world. But imo hd film looks so much clearer, it evens has depth almost 3d, which would look awesome on a massive screen.
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: A scanner darkly HD is either 720p or 1080i, it's a defined format. I'd not argue that cause it's wrong, I will however stand by the statement that a well setup cinema has a better picture than HD. It looks less awsome the bigger the screen, I should know mine's 3.5m meters. If you scale that up to a 20 meter screen each pixel is rougly 1cm square which will look about as good as normal tv looks on my screen. Basically not very.
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: A scanner darkly your wrong though hd can be any resloution you want its just that those are the suported ones at the moment, in reality you could have resolutions like 20,000 x 15,000 with the right technology, also cinemas use lenses to increase the size of the picture, so picture quality stays the same.
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: A scanner darkly http://www.google.co.uk/search?comp...ine:HDTV&sa=X&oi=glossary_definition&ct=title
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: A scanner darkly and, as i said those resolutions are the only ones that are supported at the moment. Give it a few months and there will be 1280i and so on. Those are just the standards they went with. To have hd cinemas they would need better technology and higher resolutions. which will come in time.
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: A scanner darkly haha, let it go. HD means 720p or 1080i. If you want confirmation have a look at MIT's website, they pretty much invented the standard in the mid 90s (with lots of help from philips and AT&T's labs). There will be much better video standards but they won't be HD anymore, they will be HD2, VHD, SVHD etc.
I really really really wanna see this.. It looks sooooooo good! Also.. 4000p would be immensly detailed! Bring it on [/nerdishness]
