    it seems the board has new unwritten rules.

    as we all know, discussions of illegal substances and other club nights is prohibited on the promise message board.

    but now we are not even allowed to discuss day to day life as it may be thought as too random by some board members.

    discussions such as what your doing at college are deemed too random.

    discussions about programs on television could be too contreversial...and dont even think abuot talking abuot subjects in the news.

    polls are not allowed despite there being a poll option.

    you are not even allowed to discuss wether you should go to promise anymore.

    personal opinons on anything (such as this) are banned and will result in the thread being deleted and possibly the author being banned from the board.

    SO REMEMBER....MESSAGE BOARDS ARE NOT FOR POSTING!

    How would you run the board, tell me your ideas (in detail please) on how to keep the board busy and useful and I will put them to the mods to see if we can change things for the better.

    Any ideas are welcome.

    Why not stick a couple more forums on?

    Like leaving this for general Promise-related issues, then maybe a forum where people can discuss day-to-day life, including what they did at college, etc.

    heres an idea. why dont people just post about things that all can have a discussion on. Like things that are happenin in the world or in the club scene. The reason your thread asking if you and your friend should come to promise was deleted is because there is already a thread discussing whos goin to promise. Its a sticky at the top of the page. Another thread is just pointless. You could have discussed it in there. :D

    It depends if those opinions are either offensive, in bad taste, could be seen to do damage to the message board's long term success or could be seen to do damage to promise as a business.

    Do you think this is over the top? If so how?

    the post werent about that tho - she were asking whether we shud go to promise or go elsewhere which is why she didnt post in the one asking hus going 2nite...why delete her thread but not sum of the other fucked up ones?

    i thin maracca is right like, theres alot of threads made when they have already been done just previously, and although some people arnet on the board alot, it doesnt take long to sift 2 or 3 days ago to see whats been said and if theres any need to say it agian, specially when its sticky anyway!


    maybes a few other forums though??!?! :confused: :D

    is there sum1 with a great hatred for consett out there? if so, y not delete all the other threads that include the word consett?
