just more of the same as halo 1/2. graphics a bit improved but not a patch on gears of war / bioshock etc. It's good multiplayer but single player campaign borders on boring in parts. guns sound like peashooters and got not relaism to it. i know it's a scifi thing so probably not meant to be real but the physics seem miles off too. overhyped if you ask me. There's nothing new or original in it. just my opinion but if you've played either of the other 2, this won't give you anyhting extra I can't believe it's got such good reviews. bioshock (although short) & rainbow 6 vegas are miles better.
I wasnt a fan of the first one really, couldnt get me head around driving that thing while shooting at the same time, I am halfway through Bioshock now and its the best FPS I've played since half life
bioshock is such a good game - really atmospheric. bit too easy even on hard due to the fact you can't die but means it's easy to get all of the achievements too... Orange box half life 2 in a couple of weeks too....
I was reading the other day about how Halo 3 isn't in HD, it's 640 or some shit like that which isn't even a recognised resolution, which apparently means it cn be a little jerky at times.
it's something to do with the lighting effects - there was a massive thing about it but i didn't understand most of it - bungie have said it's def in hd and others are saying not - i've not noticed it being jerky though and running at max resolution
The multiplayer wipes the floor with any other live title out there. I agree the solo campaign can be a bit boring in parts, but the brilliant reviews all focus on the multiplayer aspects of the game. But then again adam, you think rainbow six vegas is good, so what do you know.
