1210 glory!!! My decks arrived today!!! Cant mix for shit but i got em! Im a quick learner so im not that bothered really! Any tips would be fantastic. Ive got the theory of beatmatching and mixing down, on to the practical now. Need a few tips with putting together a good set. That the hard part!

Go with yr ears and play from the heart. Don't panic and you'll never run out of tunes. Teach yourself too! Otherwise you'll pick up other peoples' habits. Which mixer you got with yr babies?
A newmark dm(insert numbers here) ive been doin a bit of practising and seem to be picking it up quite well!!! Im no Ann Savage, buts give it a lots of practice!
i sorta had Numark Direct Drive cheapo dex at home in London for three yrs, and used them a bit... and didnt really get on too well with em, got my 1200s easrly august... can now beat match 70% of the time seriously best purchase i made!!
Does it have kills? Might be the 1002 or the 2002. Couldn't see it being anything more basic than that if it's coming with 1210s. I had a DM1002ex (chrome) and it's a nice mixer. Should keep you goin for a while. Now all you gota do is go and blow loadsa money on tunes (of the house variety, if you have any taste! ) Good luck tho mate.
ha ha it's the most expensive addiction of all. Give it 6 months and you'll be eating scraps out of the bin but you'll still be buying new tracks.
its a DM1002 and yes it has kills!!! Everything is going ok at the minute!!!! I could do with a better set of headphones its quite difficult to listen to the bass on the ones ive got so beatmatching is a mission!!!! Starting to rewire my brain so i can LISTEN to music rather than just HEAR it!!!!! so at the min thats all im thinkng about. I was playing around yest and i tell you when you get it right its one of the best feelings in the world!
Well for beginner cans I would strongly recommend the Sennheiser HD433s. Only cost about £20, and they last aaaaages! I had 'em since about two months after I started, and only now are they startin to fuck. If you got loadsa cash to spare tho, go with the new Pioneers or the Sony MDR-V7506. Sennheiser HD25s and Sony MDR-V700s aint bad either.
I remember you saying a while back at si's house that you had loads of tunes but no decks!!!! Glad to see you got some even if its for a bit!
