    Unless you've got a mortgage that tracks the Bank of England base rate, it won't affect many people straight away. Most banks are more interested in the LIBOR rate.

    no effect for me - fixed rate - lets hope it's still low in a while.

    .... wont matter a jot unless the change is passed on to the average joe.

    I doubt they will see that much of a change - seems more like its designed to help the banks than it is the public.

    Its based on the RPI not BOE interest rate although the RPI is 0.4% higher than it was last October. :rolleyes:
