    Experience / Money

Which would you choose experience or a higher wage. Im having to make a decision based on 2 jobs i have been offered. Ones a higher wage flexible hours etc the other is a lower wage but id get quite a bit property developing experience

If I thought that the lower paid one would only be for a relatively short time, and that it meant I would move up more quickly in the long run, I'd take it.

I'd take the higher wage if it was drastically higher than the other offer, my thinking on this is - they have offered you a higher wage because they rate you, they know you can do the job and acheive in it.

Might be bullshit on my part but thats how it works in the industry I work in and im pretty sure its the same elsewhere.

I had this dilemma a couple of years ago!

Was only working in a call centre but i was offered management training in my existing job and also had an offer of a new one altogether. If i'd stayed on and done the management course i would have been on £14k (which is shit) but if I'd gone to the new one I'd have been on a minimum of £17.500...

I chose the ££££ but now I'm going in a totally different direction (HGV driving) so i'm kinda glad i did!!!

Experience if u want to further your career in what you're doing. taking the money is a short term gain and not having the experience is a long term loss.

thats if u want to stay in what you're doing.

if u want to move career - take the money while u look for other jobs.

I always base my decisions on what will benefit me more in the long run with regards to jobs/careers etc.

    It makes sense.

if you feel you would follow a career one way or another with more experience then i'd say go with that

but if u dont intend on goin into a similar roll when u leave uni in that field i'd go with the better pay one

just remember tho more money doesn't always mean a better job that you'll enjoy try lookin at the pro's and cons of each no point beng a job that u hate just cause the pays better imo :)
