Probably years ago (must have been about 9) hearing Robert Miles - Children then going to HMV and asking for "that dance remix of the X Files theme". I got pointed to the original X Files soundtrack. :$

Was quite a few years later untill I found out what it actually was.

Then it was hearing Planet Perfecto Feat. Grace - Not Over Yet on an advert for a dance music album and CRW - Feel Love

Got CRW ID'd by some bloke at a computer fair when I went to buy some CD's and Planet Perfecto from some bloke in HMV a few years earlier.

They were in my head for years.

To be honest, I think I was into dance music from a fairly early age. Theres only really Prodigy - No Good (Start the Dance) that I can think of which made me sit back and think "FUCK!". Great thing is, it still has the same effect on me today.

Rising High Collective "Fever Called Love"
Es Paradis Terrenal "Benisadan" (Mare Nostrum Mix)
Sandy B "Make The World Go Round"
    Daft Punk "Around The World"
    CM "Dream Universe"
Mansun "Wide Open Space" (Perfecto Remix)
M-Jay & Dan Vee "The Sun Always Shines"
Lenny Dee & Darrien Kelly "Schoom"
Search & Destroy "Deep In The Underground"

Bit of a mixture of Hardcore, House and Trance.

I was given the Rezerection "Event 2" tape pack, from a lass that worked for them, when I was about 11. It had the likes of Richie Hawtin, Laurent Garnier, Carl Cox, Tom Wilson, Bass Generator, Loftgroover etc etc.. It ultimately got me listening to "music with repetitive beats". After that I found the Mikey B "Zig and Zag" and Producer "Godspell" mixes at the indoor market in Whitley Bay. I listened to Hardcore for a couple of years after that, until I bough the Zoo Ibiza compilation on record from Traxx in town. That turned me to house music, so I started playing that at the house parties instead. My mates were still into hardcore for a little while, so they started hiding my records in cupboards and drawers at the parties so I couldn't play them :(
