blue coyote opposite the fire station in town, go there loads, wicked food, good prices, went last night and cost just over £20 for the two of us with a few drinks, they do mexican and allsorts, really nice atmosphere nice decor and friendly staff
my mate at work was there on thursday. said the food was terrible. said had been blatantly been microwaved. their group had spent £150. when he went to complain to the manager she told him to go and see the bouncer?! the bouncer was apparantly being very aggro. my mate then went to the bar and got drenched in water by the bar staff they then went to go to popolos and the bouncer from blue coyote actually went over to the bouncers at popoplo and told them not to let my mate and friends in as they had complained (apparantly blue coyote own popolos?)
Yup, now connected to 'Acquaclear Leisure Ltd', not sure how though... Bit of a shitter, Popolos was always canny.
I was there the other week and the barman was a fucking wanker. The waitresses were fucking shite aswell.
we went to a local italian for local people and it was lovely. Why does a resterant need bouncers??? doesnt that tell you it's not worth going too?
Went to blue coyote for a mates birthday last wednesday and thought the food was a bit dodgy as well not the best for the price and the barman was a tit as well to us.
Any place that uses bouncers to 'deal' with customers who arent happy about the service wouldnt be getting any visits from me any more. Absolutely one million percent shocking.
i've been there a few times recently and had a problem every time. The staff are incredibly rude and unhelpful, and one accused me of being a liar (not in so many words but you get the idea...) It's also overpriced imo. Used to be good when you got 25% off with snap fax and it had first opened though.
Yeah la tasca's on the quayside is quality the italians next door is as well est est est i like the slug and lettuce for a meal as well and heartbreak soup does some great food choices ! There are loads of good eateries round newcastle now
