Where do you think he will go Boro or Newcastle?

I would put money on him getting injured for the rest of the season if he signed for us.

they're not our rivals and in we have no standards.

if it is a player who could play well for us/shift some shirts, we'll sign them

Skysports.com understand Middlesbrough have won the race to sign Jonathan Woodgate.

It is believed that the Real Madrid defender is currently undergoing a medical at Middlesbrough after opting to make the move to Teesside.

Real are willing to loan out the former Leeds and Newcastle defender so that he can get valuable first team action under his belt.

Woodgate held talks with Middlesbrough boss Gareth Southgate on Monday about a possible move to The Riverside.

When he signed for newcastle sky sports said that he had never played more than seven consecutive games in his whole career

Complete waste of time. Hes amazin when he plays but that not gonna be very often.

Dunno, but it's too late now: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/m/middlesbrough/5299658.stm

Roeder still seems to be saying we're in pole-position for the signing of about 3 players though. Unless he was lying or we've just been blown out the water on huth, woddy and graveson, I'd love to know who the fuck he's got in mind.

This old excuse of wanting to play his cards close to his chest so as not to generate other clubs' interest in the players is just looking increasingly like an NUFC translated version of 'Yes we're looking at all the players we're linked with but are so far proving to incompetent to sign'.

Woodgate needs to play more than 5 games on the trot before he can be classed as the world class player many of my fellow season ticket holders at SJP think.

Until then unproven over long period but if produces what many have saw in flashes he will be alongside JT very soon
