    Hasnt Reniasance closed??

Shindig is not a prog night. They describe themselves as "true house" which is a pretty good description id say. They only occasionally book djs you would describe as prog and even then i wouldnt say they were that progressive (eg Lawler, Deep Dish, X-Press 2 etc).

Id love to see them booking the likes of Burridge, Pappa, Warren, Seaman, Kleinenberg but it aint gonna happen cos Shindig aint a prog club. They dont even book Sasha or Digweed.

Joe despite the blatant mis-posts that followed your rediculous statement (Shindig isn't prog) there are a wealth of very successful and highly influential Prog orientated nights in this country alone. The market abroad is so much bigger, Zouk in Singapore or all the major cities in Eastern Europe for example, but in the UK the big hitters are Bedrock obviously, Renaissance who no longer have a permanent home but still rock, Elements from the guys at Hooj, Union at Rehab and Prologue at The Cross, where I happen to be a ressie! (though I play House/Breaks/Disco). Think before you speak!

Technofish, played with Pappa the night after he played Promise, he had a mint time, you're right that he's the wrong sound for the club now though.

I meant to write weekly prog night, but doesn't matter I'll still argue my point (even though it was worded terribly)....

Both bedrock nights to my knowledge aren't weekly - not sure on this as I'm not a big follower.

Renaisance lost their venue as you point out (not the biggest success story)
    Prologue... not weekly
    Elements... not weekly

I'd say Union was the only succesful weekly prog night in the UK, I've never been so I don't know what the numbers are like.

Considering at one time prog looked like it was going to dominate british clubland I'd say it isn't doing its best at the moment... There has only been 1 succesful weekly night mentioned.
