Wax On- Cancellations again!! Anyone else go to Wax On last night? I really like Wax On, but the amount of cancellations that club has is just wrong! The Glimmers were cancelled last night, the official line is they couldnt get a flight due to the disruption because of the terror arrests, while this well could be true, it seems most times you go to wax on one dj or another seems to cancel Fairplay there wasnt many people there last night (prob due to the time of the month it was on) but l really dont trust the promoters anymore, you end up going EXPECTING someone to be cancelled, this isnt the way a club to be run and doesnt inspire loyalty Mainly just a rant at wax on, they need to sort it out or the club will drop down further I really think they are shooting themselves in the foot with timings of most nights, surely if you are doing a monthly night then the friday after the 25th (when most people get paid) would be the best time to do it, they would get more people in, wouldnt have to cancel so many people.. Any reply from the promoters (they post on here occasionally)? Anyone else had similar problems?
Everytime i've been to waxn the Dj's have always turned up. Have heard about some cancelling but i've been lucky enough to have picked the nights when they haven't
We have had a huge run of bad luck recently with cancelations and no shows and there is nobody who gets more frustrated when this happens than we do. In our defence it has been rare that our lineups have less than three acts on (sometimes as many as five) so no shows become three times as likely each night as they may be for a night with one guest. We were particularly disappointed by the Glimmers as this is the second time they've let us down since the move to Digital. What I can say is that there is no reason to distrust us because we have a big enough profile that there is no way that management and agencies would ever let us bill an act that is not a bona fide booking. On the bright side, Boys Noize is probably my new favourite DJ and absolutely tore the roof off last night. We have had a terrible run of luck over the last three months, but they say bad luck comes in threes and I'm positive Dave Clarke and Stanton Warriors will all go off according to plan.

Fuckin hell, Sptember is gonna be good!! Il have to start goin clubbing again. This, along with Habit, and a couple of belting Shindigs means its looking like one of the best months in ages.
