i was using promise as an example of a night that in the end took the pi** out of its punters as a counter argument to those dissing detox.

most of the people in here striring it up havnt even been to one of the events so how can you articulate an argument re somehting you havnt been to

its like me saying I hatel ove dough when i have never been

i would at least go and see what it was like

    then form an opinion

I would just ignore them and crack on to be honest. You seem to have let them wind you up too easily imo.

If that were the case then you could take them to court for false advertising.

And if they voted with their feet, then that's business too! You pays your money, you takes your choice, as the saying goes. People not providing the service they advertise will go out of business eventually.

Sorry Detox, but you really do have a ridiculous bee in your bonnet about Promise/Mark. It's been finished for a while now, so why do you keep on about it? Surely you should be happy if you hated it that much?

he didnt kill clubbing , he just promoted promise the wrong way near the end so the night became either mainstream a-listers eg lashes , jules etc appealing to the beer boy big market crowd thereby alienating his loyal corwd or cutting edge new producers that no one had heard of , who some of the loyal crowd would come to see but the majority wouldnt be prepared to pay money to see, TOTAL CATCH 22

detox isnt based around an obsession with door numbers and sells out because it is centred around local djs who havnt made it playing music they love , regardless of style or trend and then the profit is used to book bigger acts that may / may not have played newcastle before

if you want nights that rely on abig NAME to pull punters look elsewhere

no I actually miss promise ,

i am not happy that it went , because if it was till doing well then there would still be a foundation (maybe) and that would be good for newcastle cos digital is gash

there are others in the thread who have doneone now who are boiling my WAZZ, the ones thinking they be better than others cos they live in posh houses,

it is that kind of elitism we were going on about, I am merely providing entertainment for the internet warriors who are bored

It takes more than one (or two if you count Smile) successful nights a week to keep a venue that size running. There simply wasn't a big enough market in Newcastle to keep both Foundation and Digital busy on both Friday and Saturday nights.

I don't live in a posh house at all, but I still wouldn't be seen dead with you crusty scummers bouncing around some grotty dive at Decox.

i tell you what , i will send you the footage from the speed camera event last december and then you can decide whether (a) that venue was a dive and /or (b) we are scummers?

the judgementalism on here astounds me , that is if i dont take it with 10 bags full of salt

That's still more fun than Decox. Sometimes I hit the side of the bin with a stick, and then the music's better than detcox too!

I will send you footage from a speed camera as I fly past doing 90 in my jag. It'll give you something to aspire to you 2bit, washed-up club-reject SCUMMER.

Much better than dj's such as

    Scot Nicholson
    Andy Gordon
    Chris Littlewood
    Gareth Hocking
    James Wilson
    Steve Linney

and thats just to start with.

Their friends all have attended and do attend detox to call them freaks and crusties is so far off the mark you are just making yourself look like a prick.

They're all shit. You having a laugh?

The banging a bin with a stick comment was a joke, but after seeing that list a genuinely think it would sound better than the shit you put on.
