    Your Top 3 Gigs EVER!

We've had these before, or similar ones, but lets see.

Name your BEST 3 GIGS You've ever been to - this can be a festival event, club night or live band, mine are :

1> The Prodigy - Demontfort Uni, 2nd Nov 1994 The Gilted Generation Tour, it was my birthday and they played my uni - i freaked out to 'Out of Space'... Keith still had his long hair!

2> Guns N' Roses with NIN, Wembley '91 - BLEW ME AWAY and how i got into nine inch nails... they were full throttle right from the start, when they were a proper band!

3> The Verve + the Real People, '94, Leicester 'The Charlotte' - about 150 people - the early days of the verve - i think i wet myself it was so good

the were the ones that have stood out, however, i've had some amazing club nights too, crasher in 97, a few Promise nights were real special too....

1> Placebo, The Mayfair, Newcastle, 1996
Mainly cos it was the first gig I went to. Still like Placebo now though

2> Fun Lovin' Criminals, Newcastle Union, 1996
Just cos they're cool as fuck :cool2:

    3> Prodigy, V97, Leeds
Headline act on the first night, best live show I've ever seen, huge giant ants crawling about the stage and Keith, Maxim and Leroy going mad at the front

    Good thread

The Sneaker Pimps- The Riverside- 1995 (Might have been 96)
First gig l ever went to, first time in the riverside, was awesome

    James Brown- Glastonbury- 2004
Legend even at 70+ one of my heroes, even though it was raining and he had to keep sitting down was an amazing experence

The Pixies- V2004 (Again might have been 03, my memory is rubbish these days)
Although it was the first time l'd ever done mushrooms was that day, was the first time l'd seen the pixies

Prob not the top three of all time but special ones that stick out :)

    Underworld & Faithless @ Creamfields 2002

Sunset in one part of the sky, dark on the other. Thousands of people outdoors on a nice night. One act straight after the other - Insomnia, God Is A Dj, We Come One, Dark and Long, Cowgirl, Born Slippy etc etc

    Prodigy @ Arena, Newcastle 2005

Missed them in the late '90's when a few mates went to see them - so I had to do this. It was class

Oasis @ City Of Manchester Stadium (Sunday) 2005

Beer, fit birds, nice hotel for the weekend and plenty of Columbia's finest chucked in for good measure. The atmosphere was immense and we met some great people....

    Also good:

    * Chemical Brothers @ Creamfields 2004
    * Basement Jaxx @ Creamfields 2005
    * Moby, The Darkness & Robbie Williams  @ Knebworth, August 2003 (Even if just for the sight of 120,000 people enjoying the music, beer, smoke and the red hot sun all day :cool2: )

I went Wireless on the friday and saturday. Was joking all day about how shit James Blunt was going to be on the Sat night, but by the time we'd been drinking etc all day, he blew me away  Was nearly crying

Reminds me, one i would add to my list:

The Flaming Lips, Wireless London, 2006
Anyone who comes on stage and walks across the crowd in a ginat plastic orb is pretty cool in my book. Also 10ft Giant Spacemen, a choir dressed in pink, Spiderman, Superman, Mr Invincible, Superwoman, and the band all on stage. They're fucking nuts

Ozzfest, Donnington - 2002 - Was well into slayer, seeing them live was unbelievable.

Korn, London Arena - 2002 - I wasn't the biggest fan of them until i seen them live, the sound was incredible.

The Datsuns, Northumbri Uni - I think it was the NME tour, they blew the other 3 bands off the stage :D

ZZ Top, Newcastle Arena - 2003 - Total legends, beer drinkers and hell raisers :king:

Leeds Festival 2002 - Amen, Prodigy and even Axl Rose and his session musicians were amazing.

Doubt i could get away with the really heavy gigs now, but it's class looking back
