New djs promise should try and get... heres my list, on a harder trance/dance edge, but i think would go down amazingly... Phil Reynolds Nick Sentience K90!!! Steve Blake Spencer Freeland Nicky Lunn Pants & Corset Tom Harding all the above would be quality to play the last set!!!
whys that? Anne Savage played the other week (i dont know what tunes she played), Nick Rafferty is playing in a few weeks... they are reknown for playing hard house... the stuff the djs i mentioned play is not normally as hard... was it not Smart E who said Yoji Biomehanika and Lab 4 would go down well a while back, both these DJ(s) are a lot harder too... Lab 4 IMO are fantastic but way to hard, as is Yoji Biomehanika...
but no matter how much you try and say they play some hard trance they are still hard house dj's!!!promise is doing amazing off trance and IMO should stick to that!!
half the tunes the djs i mentioned play stuff along the lines of JFK as well... Robby Tissera played a hardish trance, and included 4motions-Over for me, a trademark tune at Sundissential for a while, hes classed as a hard house DJ yet a lot of peeps loved it... Pants and Corsts...Malice in Wonderland, was definately a tune far from hard house, and they re remix of Felix-dont u want me... very trancy...
i think malice in wonderland is class!!one of a few hard house records ive got!! suppose a couple every so often wont be that bad!!but tuns wont be good really!
but i wouldnt say it was hard house, i mean each to there own and all that, but i thought it was quite a trancey tune
a) the djs i mentioned arent hard house... they are hard dance... b) when did i suggest that promise was movin towards hard house, all i did was say that these would go down well (maybes as one of those 3 harder djs u have in the year) c) are suggestions no longer allowed?? d) a year ago theres were no hard house djs ever at promise..
isnt nick lunn a ressie at storm, one of the main HH nites in the midlands? mite b wrong but thought phil reynolds was a frantic HH dj (prob wrong, dont qoute me!)
he is a frantic dj he helped start the night, but he plays quality hard dance... Nick Lunn co produced Conspiracy.. hardly a hard house tune... both these djs do a lot of producing/remix for Nukleuz Purple, not really a hard house label... Lets put it in perspective... throughout the north, most clubbers would have heard of Nick Rafferty due to him being a Sundiss Ressident, and main man... there are a lot of people who love trance, and Promise, but not hard house... they see that Nick Rafferty is playing, ok he will probs not play a hard house set, but thats beside the point... Nick Rafferty s production are all hard house, the majority of his sets are hard house... what are people gonna expect of him? Hard house!! People solely into trance may stay away... On the other hand, Phil Reynolds production/remixes are not hard house, look at "Back to ABS" on Fevah Trance and his remix of K90-Breathe... they are (hard) trance/hard dance... same with K90-Breathe/Red Snapper and pretty much his whole Urban Anthems album (which is an amazing album)... Steve Blake did a Fevah album which started off as hard trance and eventually reached hard house by the end, still a lot "softer" than Nick Rafferty plays. His production "I Get a Rush" on Tripoli is quite a hard trancer... Spencer Freeland helped produce "Hallucinogenic Effect" with a remix by hard trancer Uberdruck... once again not hard house...
don diablo (think thats right he played a blinder at creamfields) n steve murano (if he dj's love his tunes!)
Quote - IN FACT I THINK YOU WILL FIND THE WARM UPS RETURNING TO THERE MORE PROGGRESIVE FAZE ! Now this sounds interesting, i was wondering if you could define which 'progressive' d.j's you are talking about?
