something which can absorb bass from an upstairs floor? i've got a small subwoofer here which can be heard all over the house when its not turned up too loud - is there some kind of spongey contraption which absorbs the beat downwards? i did use bricks but they look shit, and mam and rob are complaining again..
You can buy isolation pads for speakers from places like www.turnkey.co.uk and other sound dealers as well. Can you not mount them off the floor?
where can you pick up these spikes? can they be used on a desk too? ive looked isolation mats but the spikes, in theory, looks like they work better
mines wrapped in 2 towels and put in a fabric type box - still does pretty much sod all to reduce it tho : /
spikes came with mine, probably maplin will sell them i reckon. also it fine on a desk cause i have rubber things which the spikes sit on which also reduce vibration. However, don't expect to much because its the sound wave thats being boshed out of your sub thats making most of the vibration, and lets face there aint no way to stop that unless you sound proof your room, which is rather costly.
