oh to be an undergrad again, don't know what yours was like but my masters is far from a holiday.. on the plus side, I'll have put off getting a real job for 6 years by the time I've finished.. which is actually pretty fucking depressing when I think about it!
Aye you can't piss about on Masters courses. I'm on placement so it's like having a full time (unpaid) job and uni work on top of that. Only a few months to go now tho and then I'll be doing a job I love I've said it before but I would definitely recommend moving away to go to uni. If you've got the chance to do so, grab it with both hands! I stayed at home first time around and fair enough, I now have no student debt which is great, but I feel like I kinda missed out. I've become loads more independent since moving to Durham Good luck with whatever you decide to do Katie
I do agree with all of this, and usually I am one of the first to say go away to Uni. However, I just know that the Northumbria course is one of the best there is.
i live near notts and its rough as fuck! not somewhere u feel safe walkin bout with anythin of any significant value really
Re: Re: Nottingham the lads who work for firefly arent wannabee gangstars at all. as u may recall from my previous runnings in with hahaha. i live in nottingham and some areas r rough but dont listen to all this bullshit, its no rougher than any other city centre outskirt areas. pretty mint city lot of good nights on firefly being up there with the best, good choice of record shops also. and its not too far away. if u decide to come down here chuck iz ya number n ill give u the guided tour!
katie, i did fashion marketing in manchester met- the course is apparently a really good one to do cos it covers everything- not just design. i would look into it cos manchester is ace. unfortunately i just couldnt find a decent replacement for dear james so i'v got to move back to newcastle
I didnt even realise Manchester did the course To be honest me applying for uni was a really rushed decision as I was going to do a foundation course before deciding anything. I have applied for uni and the foundation now so I can make my decision afterwards cos I didnt wanna miss out! Northumbria has a placement year as well which I quite fancy!! Helen is right in saying I could do my course and then leave Newcastle if I wanted. Thanks for the advice chick x
no problem, i think i'll end up back in manchester at some point.. just need to convince everyone else to move down there with me! good luck with it all
Notts is murder capital of the uk some unsavory coloured chaps once tried to slit my throat down there its real big city living with all the dangers that go with that. Maitlands ex-bird went to Notts uni and didnt get killed tho
Great coverage in the press today...... "Gun Capital Of the UK" "The UK's most dangerous city" Did anyone noticed the shot Pig actually looked like a Pig as well? Bizarre.
