Mark eg at the boat here's what I posted on our forum eh just incase you're not registered there: Well a few of you emailed me this morning asking if I was OK, so I thought I'd let ya know - I'm OK. Hurting but OK It all began when I was about 15 minutes into my set on a boat in Newcastle. The ceiling must've been about 4 inches from my head and, well you know me - I do like to have a slight dance about. Problem was the fire sprinker decided otherwise so when the breadown on a certain track came in and I automatically lept into the air, the sprinkler skewered my skull and before you know it someone had turned on the cold tap on top of my head. 'Strange' I thought, 'Why's there water gushing down my face??'. But of course it wasnt water, it was blood. Loads of it (PS if anyone toook any pics I'd love to see them!!!!). Well the show must go on as they say so I finished my set - although if you want the truth, that was one tough hour to get through. Found my way to the back room and got things looked at. 'You're gonna have to go to hospital', said the lady. 'Ah bollocks', I thought and off we went to A+E. I've never been to A+E before on a night and I have to say it was exactly like being infront of the TV when Crimestoppers is on. Quite entertaining actually but certainly not as exciting as DJing (where I could have been were it not for the damn sprinkler). So I reluctantly gave my details and eventually got my head glued back together. Did it hurt? You better believe it did!!! Anyway, for those of you that think DJing is an easy life of shaggin birds, larging yourself up and getting wasted in hotel rooms, think again. There's alot more tooo it than you think. Next time I enter a DJ booth I will be calculating all angles of projectory and applying all applicaple rules and theory, including newtons law: The force that you hit your head of a sprinkler = The mass of your bonce times the acceleration. All that left for me to do now is learn to mix properly (no wise cracks please)
hahaha thats classic. mark eg is great, probably the most entertaining dj ive seen. not just his sets but his stage presence, hes a funny bloke
The guys a legend i feel sorry for his Mrs travelling up and down most of the weekend and the grand finale of his bashing his face, luckily i was on hand with tissues for her
