    do you read differnt ones i.e. romance, murder, si fi. or do you tend to stick to the same genre.

    I have loads of books on the go at the same time ... it depends what mood i'm in as to which type i read. I'm just about to order a couple of Jeff Noon books from Amazon ... anyone read any of his stuff ????

    Ill usually read anything apart from tom clancy type rubbish (apologies to any clancy fans)

    Right now im reading

    Margaret Thatcher - The Downing Street Years
    Watching the English
    Douglas Coupland - Elanor Rigby.


    Love all of couplands stuff - modern day legend.

    Apart from that, i like most things as long as they have some guts or emotion - Lovely Bones, Wild Swans, Memoirs of a Geisha etc etc.

    Nouvelle, Seriously it will change the way you look back on 1979 - 1990 (up to 1997 almost), even though i was brought up in the north and experienced alot of the fall out of alot of what happened under her in the 1980s....... you cant help but feel it had to happen.

    Its hard work but you feel like you know and understand exactly what, why and how about the woman - Even for people who hate her its amazing stuff and i would say essential education for anyone interested in where this country came from in our time.

    Aside from that, the woman is a total legend - It will be a very very long time before we see anyone quite like her again.

    Speaking of Tom Clancy-type crap, I've read quite a few David Baldaci books lately, and think they're quite good. Typical american spy/cop/fbi thrillers, but entertaining.

    I'm also reading Moby Dick (as i think i should read more classics). I'm about halfway through and it's taken months, pretty hard work.

    i think reading drama/fiction is a complete waste of reading time, why read made up crap when u could be learning something by reading history and refernce/bio;s etc

    I'll read most stuff. I get bored if I stick to one genre.

    I've just finished the Da Vinci Code which I thought was excellent, and am now reading Angels and Deamons, which is also by Dan Brown. I'm not getting into this one as much though- it seems quite samey.

    I read absolutley anything - just finished reading Brave New World, The Exorcist, The Reader, Dracula, Carrie in the last couple of months!! :groovy:

    i REALLY wanna read brave new world - it sound ace!

    Wouldnt mind reading that 'Lucky' by Alice Sebold and 'MAO' by Jung Tang after that... My brother says the original 'Fight Club' book is worth a read aswell - A bit like how the book of American Psycho was to the Book version..... much darker and thoughtful.

    i read a lot of autobiograpical books, john peel, andy flintoff, mick foleys, run dmc have been top reads

    love the dark materials series (nothern lights, amber spyglass, subtle knife) by phillip pullman

    cant beat potter as well

    dan brown has some good books out, angels n demons, da vinci code :)
