SAW this tonight it was well good the script is excellent and the scenes are really graphic, i recommend to everyone. The preview of the new exorcist film looks mint to sketchy as fuck
I watched SAW 2 last night, was a good film although i was a little bored midway during film. Some good twists and ending was unexpected which improved the film somewhat for me.
i thought it was better than the first in some respects but also fell far of the mark in others. Last one with 2 main characters worked well because they could develop each of them in the time but with 8 or how ever many it is this time by the time they die u just dont really care about them. Still a good film tho, loving the gore
I agree with DRM on this one. Infact no, i value this film a little bit less. Why does everyone say this is a mint film? You don't get to know ANY of the characters in this film as well as you need to. None of them have backgrounds (apart from the fact that they've all been arrested and the kid is the son of the crooked cop - but so what?). Like DRM said.. you don't care about the fact that someone has died.. the only concern is that it's gory. Very gory infact and very cringeworthy as a result I enjoyed the first saw a lot more because of the the way you seen the characters progress and evaluate their surroundings in an attempt to break free, or 'win the game' followed by a great twist at the end and enough gore to go with it all. This time around was just a load of people we didn't know, scrambling around a house and not really making any decent attempts at 'playing the game' with a lifeline shorter than sperm on the bedsheets. The police were shit too. What did they do for the first hour and a half? Sit infront of the suspected serial killer doing nothing. Still a worthwhile film but not what it's so far been hyped up to be and i thought the first saw was better.
The reason i thought this one was better was cause that one guy in the first was so bad at acting it made me wanna cringe.
I can't remember the acting but my m8 said she couldnt stand it With saw 2 though i feel that the majority of the film was just random scenes of gore to pass time so that at the end they could throw in the twist.. that we were waiting for anyway. It's a bit like 13 ghosts with a twist at the end.
it get your point but i love lots ofr graphic and violent scenes in films guess that why i like it, and 13 ghosts that was mint
I like to give sequels two seperate ratings though. One for 'good or bad film' and another for 'good or bad film based on what it's following on from'. As a film alone it's entertaining and the gorey bits are good! I just don't like it when sequels to a really good film that you're expecting to be put together just as well as, or better than the first turn out to be a bit of a lacklustre attempt. (American Pie: Band Camp for example )
