scientologists are notorious for brainwashing younger people, especially in america... very bizarre beliefs and basically a con.

Aye but what I mean is that you don't pay to go to church, so where does money come from?

Don't know too much about it tbh

it's a modern day organisation - it has trusts, stocks, etc - works just like a business - built on it's own wealth gathered thru the centuries as it 'educated' the world in it's beliefs...

Joe would be the man with a 1000 quotes and statistics ;)

All forms of extremism are the same! round up people when they are at there most vunrable and basicly brainwash them. It happens all the time! Whether its a political part like the nazis or a cult like Children of god, they all use the same basic principal of picking on people who need help the most.

they give people want they want - an answer to life. Doesn't mean it's true - people pick what sounds most plausible to them.

People feel the need that there HAS to be something

thats a major debate in religion right now. should you be able to adapt religion to suit the modern would and pick out what is most plausible to them. Example, abortion being rightfull in a catholic society, or muslims being allowed to drink alchohol and basically be very 'westernised' but still pray??

    Re: scientology

Mixmag once printed some details taken from a leaflet they published about drugs. It had some daft quote like "E's make you tear your own skin from your face in a frantic rage..." or some shit like that. If your going to inform people about drugs, at least give the facts so they can club safely, don't talk a load of old tabloid shit!

To me, these celebrities are just jumping on the bandwagon to increase their status with the inner circle of their world.:bonkers:

thats why religion is bullshit they keep changing the checklist for what is right and wrong, surely if it was a true religion god is the only one that can make that desicion.
