Another thing is, if you have reached maximum no claims bonus then there is no reason for your insurance to go down anymore, you'll find it will hover around that mark until something changes in your details...........

..........not that i am saying your whinging, but i get whinging customers on the phone all the time saying my car insurance has gone up from last year, and most of the time it is due to the fact that they have maximum no claims bonus and the insurance rates have gone up..........so there is only 1 way for your insurance to go and it isnt down!

how old are you? if you have no problem with going to a smaller high street broker then can i recommend you give these a try PREMIER 01207 592222...they were my first insurer ever and they were unbeatable

You don't have to be posh to be priviledged!!!

For me (25+, 3 yrs no claims, accident history, clean licence, group 9 insurance) they were dirt cheap!

to save cash - find out all the 'extra stuff' they chuck on that, if u wanna save bits here and there, u can get rid of :

    1) courtesy car
    2) legal aid
    3) stuff like that

ALSO - Check what your excess is - some places whack that up to make your policy cheaper. ALSO ALSO - if u SAY it's kept in a garage/on a drive - it gets nicked from outside your house and it WASNT in a garage/on a drive - you insurance will be invalid.

    BE WARNED!

i have a 1.6 focus and my insurance is 1500 (0 no claims but 2 years driving experience). that's comprehensive with legal + windscreen cover and a courtesy car if required.

that's with endsleigh who have a newcastle branch. was a bit of a fuck on with the bloke being useless but it was 100 cheaper than liverpool victoria (which i get 10% discount for being a csma member relative) and about 300 quid cheaper than anybody else!

    im glad i dont drive...

    1) no one asks me for a lift!!
    2) no petrol expenses!
    3) i can get drunk and ask my boyfriend for a lift and save taxi money!
    4) parking at work would be pointless
    5) cause he's too busy concerntrating on the road i can choose the tuneage!!

all in all a total winner...aoart from when he works late and i have to get the bus that smells of wee

The problem with going with a huge excess is that if u do have a smash, u can end up paying shitloads, as I did in March :(#
I'd advise a low excess, even if it does make your insurance slightly higher

    im glad I do drive

    1) can go anywhere you like,
    2) anytime, night or day
    3) dont have to wait in minging bus queues for ages in the freezing cold as its nice, warm and dry in your car
    4) can put on your own music, connect up your mp3 etc
    5) can make it all comfy, sort out the interior, make it smell nice, keep it clean etc etc

its like an extra pair of legs man!
