ziege was a good full back and a top profesional . he wasnt however anywhere near the likes of maldidni , carlos , lizarazu . top class player , world class player even but to say he was one of the best maybe in the top twenty but players like stuart pearce id put ahead of him !
a common mis conception from those who are mackems (aka dim) he plays in an attacking team for both club and country but he still does he fair share of defending . youd have him in your team wouldnt you and hed get into any other team in the premiership as well apart from maybe arsenal . but for you to say the guy is a bad defender just shows how little you knoe . may i suggest you climp into the afoor pictured taxi and go to madrid and watch carlos play hes a quality player ! in evry sense ! He can defend he just loves going forward .
heinze is a better defender that both carlos and cole, therefore a better left back going forward is a different story tho
