Just to clarify that the views of those that post on NECL are NOT the views of NECL.

I just thought that 'Promise Garage Sale' thing was funny. Only my opinion. I didnt come up with it / write it, I just thought it was funny. If u wanna have a go, then have a go at the person who wrote it.

Normally to get house music fans excited you have to have to play Billy Jean at full volume.

Keep your nice shirts on guys

Mate this whole scene isnt, or shouldnt be, about money. That was Promises downfall imo, theyve always followed the money. Remember when it was prog? Then all of a sudden prog isnt fashionable anymore, then it goes to trance and hard house?

James isnt in it for the money, hes in it because he loves the music, simple as. If he was in it for the money he would be running a hard house label that churns out absolute shite to 15 year old kids. You should learn to respect people like him cos hes working hard to put Newcastle on the map. I dont see you doing that.

lol you think I give a fuck if Newcastle's on the progressive house map?

You think anybody gives a fuck.... Progs deader than disco mate.

Its all good and well having a dream (even at his age), but Promise wasn't a dream it was a very real business with very real employees... A business needs to make money... There is no room for irresponsible dream chasing in business - livelyhoods depend on profit.

Prog will never again make money (in newcastle).

Does progressive house kill brain cells? You're all dumb as fuck.

gotta disagree, sasha still plays some prog, dave seaman, hernan cattaneo etc and they all pull a crowd as shindig same as promise does for trance.

try putting on a weekly prog night in a foundation size venue and watch your money disappear.

    Prog is dead.

It's hardly as bad as you're making out. If prog pulls a crowd in a venue like Foundation or Digital I'd say it's far from dead.
