    Constructive points

    Hi

Just wanted U 2 no that I think Promise is superb value for money. Im there every other week and a regular to clubs such as crasher n sunny D to name but a few.

What I wud love to C is more cyber dressers to giv it that "big dance club feel" Glow sticks n other rave accessories help make the night too n giv it character.

Promise is the nearest thing to crasher ect in newcastle so i really wish more people wud make the effort. Even usual cybers dress down as they feel out of place.

If u agree then perhaps friday best as apposed to the ben sherman massive cud recieve a slight discount or a free drink or what ever.

Newcastle (and the North East for that matter) really needs its arse kicking wen it cums to "serious" non sherman clubbing. We R way behind the rest of the country!!!!

All as U can do i supose if u agree is encourage it.

That is all i cud pick fault with except the fact it closes really early but i no this is the licencing laws as apposed to ur good selves.

Please keep up the great work - sad as it is but in Newcastle, Ur all we've got!!! Were just lucky promise IS good, so big thanks

    Please reply.

    Other Cybers get in touch!!!!

    Luv n pies

PS - first time ive used this message thread software so heres hoping it works ok...

this has got to be the funniest...if not downright stupidest thing i ever read lol!!

what your basically suggesting is "rent-a-cyber" if you cant bare to be around people a bit different than your day glow self i suggest u stay in and have a cyber tea party or sumthing

Have you ever tried to talk to anyone who glows a little less than you? you might be pleasantly suprised!! i myself am an ex cyber and i would say are most of my friends (apart from the ones who still are cyber!) i'm far from being a ben sherman wearer but most of the people you are referring too have as much right to be there as you....the nobs that dont and cause bother...well thats what the doorstaff are there for isnt it

lmao though...youve cheered up my sunday...a cyber that beleivs they deserve to get a free drink for wearing what they do  :dunce:

What is he talking about - "usual cybers dress down because they feel out of place" - most people who dress cyber for Promise know that it's not gonna be full of people with UV stuff on.

I don't dress in cyber gear but I would'nt say I didn't make an effort just cause I wore a shirt or t-shirt.

Why should anybody be allowed in cheaper or be allowed a free drink for dressing up?, if u want to dress up feel free but u don't get a reward for it. People go out in what they feel comfortable in so I don't think this is a very good idea.

Also about the "big dance club feel" - we don't want Promise to go down the same route as Crasher.

If Promise didn't have the "ben sherman massive" it would start to lose money which wouldnt be good cause it would end up closing. Wherever you go there will be someone who u don't like but that is no reason to stop them from coming in or charging them more for what they wear.

I think you should stop comparing Promise to other clubs and realise that it is doing it's own thing.

Well I can C we r seeing things from a different point of view. Perhaps my message wasnt very clear to others.

I didnt mean to make it sound like everyone shud dress cyber, far from it. Out of my circle of friends whom i go out with only half of us dress cyber so i didnt mean to sound offencive towards non cybers. my appologies if i did

We agree on one thing, we all love promise!
I am pleased the north east has it and it represents superb value for money because apart from the Shack, theres not much else now is there?

I think to summerise my original point i was trying to make is why do people dress down for Promise who normally dress up for other venues???
It is my belife that they shud b encoraged to dress cyber if they please however most dont as perhaps they feel out of place at promise.

Why shud this B?? They dont feel out of place any where else.

As for comparing clubs (crasher ect)i was mearly offering examples of places where the SAME people DO dress up.

At the end of the day i want the clubbing scene (not just promise) to come alive up here in the north east. We have very friendly people and the posibilities are endless.

    Ur points answered

    HELZ

Some of ur points r quiet fierce and strong but i will answer them anyhow.

1 As for being the funniest or stupedest thing, well, it is very easy to critisise others ideas. The whole idea of message boards is to discuss, is it not?

2 Perhaps the cheap drink wasn't the best idea ever but if it made u laugh so much u shud really get out more!!

3 Please dont just write more abuse, but i welcome ur different points of view.

    COGAN

1 first paragraph is bang on wot i ment

2 second paragraph. My appology. I certainly didn't mean to insinuate that people did not make an effort who didnt dress cyber. as i say half my friends dont. Once again sorry if this is how it sounded U all look smart.

3 third para. I agree and was using it as a comparason only re, why people think crasher is worth dressing up for yet the same people dont for promise.

4 Fourth paragraph I have been going to promise for ages and actually know alot of the ben sherman massive. My original comment about sherman was toungue in cheek and i certainly wudnt want to have a cyber only club. I only wished more people wud cyber up that normally do.

5 Not slagging promise of in any way. As stated in both my entries i luv it to bits, hence why i go, or i wudnt!

Thank U for u constructive reply

    Take care y all

Hope ive cleared my original point up a bit.

but how are they going to do that? its all a clothes thing...they can't tell at the door if a person is going to turn into a falling over pissed wanker later on can they?

mebbe mystic meg should be on the door :spangled:

best way to stop "beer monkeys" getting in would be to stop selling beer, i-e..why would promise wanna do that?

(please don't...its all about the beer :D)

    Hi all

    well everyone thinks different.

I personally agree with lush micky.

I would love to dress cyber but dont feel comfatable doing so at promise or just in the north east as it not very big up here.
Like you say lush micky, i normally do dress up for other clubs. I see where you mean about adding a certain difference between a normal club and good dance club such as promise. Weather you like them or not cybers are at all dance clubs so why not at promise??
I also like your passion for furthering clubbing in the north east. we are way lacking in the north east and have like you say great people here.
Ive got to admit though, your idea about a free drink is pants, he he!

Take care and see you all friday, cyber or not
