Despite the fact that i actually like prog i would have to say that the fist Eddie night was my best ever night at Promise. Ive probably seen some better sets (back in the good old days) but for sheer buzz, sheer expectation, sheer atmposphere and sheer delivery of the goods i just dont think you can possibly beat that night.

I think anyone who was there knows exactly what im talking about. For many of us there (myself included), though not all of us, it was our first time of seeing Mr Haliwell. The night started off with a superb proggy set by Pete Gooding and Richard's link hour was just superb (got us all absolutely craving and itching for Eddie to come on). During this time i talked to many, many randoms around the club and each and every one mentioned Bosh! (which hadnt benn that long out) and how good it was and how unbelievably excited they were. From this state i could see the whole thing just being a big letdown.

But then it wasnt. It was just unbelievable - i was in a state of total euphoria for nearly 2 hours. Three moments stand out.
    1. I was standing just behind the dancefloor looking out over everyone and he dropped "Iguana". Totally unexpected. The place went mental and i had a cracking view of it. :D
    2. I think it was second or third last tune and he dropped "Signum - What ya got 4 me". I was dancing away right up the front and looking around me i had never seen so many ear-to-ear grinning faces in my life. :D
    3. Set finishes and the whole club as one starts chanting "Eddie, Eddie, Eddie, Eddie!". He laps up the reception and whacks on another tune. :D

Shiiiiiiit! sorry thats a bit long, just got carried away. The night was THAT good. Oh and ive been drinkin cans of Stella in the garden all afternoon eva since i got back from work at 1:30 as well. :) :p

So would probly have to be the last John OO Flemming nite, wicked atmosphere and a belta set. First time I seen JOOF in a club to and was really impressed. BINARY FINARY last tune too!!:D

When Kerry played - for obvious reasons I think!

Other favourite nights were when Corvin first played, Gatecrasher album launch with Lucien Foort, and Eddie Halliwell's first set.

Loads of others too, but those are the ones I can remember at the minute!
