    the cost of motoring on the continent is acutally higher than in the uk - they have lower pump prices, bt have to pay toll charges on nearly every major route they use.

    not really sure about the length of time, but aparently the police are gonna take away the liscences of the truckers involved with the road blockings and protests as such - bad crack :down:

    its got on sky news that in some places ppl hav already started paniking and queuing for an hr for petrol :eek:

    they bastards are threatening to strike on wednesday,,theyve only started a fucking epidemic of panic buying,,,the queues 4 me local station are huuuuge.

    No they don't. The threshold is about £270k, then you pay tax on any amount over this. And if you are inheriting this sort of money, clever accountants/solicitors make sure you get a hell of a lot more than that tax free.

    To have a true meritocracy where everyone has the same opportunities in life, like the government bangs on about, inheritance tax needs to be higher.

    Last time around, fuel was at pretty much its lowest price level in relation to average earnings that it's ever been. Earnings have gone up about 4 to 4.5% a year since this.

    The problem for me with it, is that like everything in this country, it's the poor people that do the graft to keep it running that get hammered the most by cost of living rises.

    jus had to queue at 4lane ends tesco for some gas,,,i hope nonne of u ned it the morrow coz i reckon u will be in shit. the queues may be a mare...gud luck:lol:
