Lived in Darlington for 19 years of my life.
I like it, its home...I live just past the train station, not the best area of town but not the worst, theres some nice little pubs here, my local is the Tap n Spile.

Id be quite happy living here and raising a family here.

Come to Darlington...its SO kewl :)

If ur under 25, be sure to hit stanhope park around 1pm :chill:

btw, when has coniscliffe road been opposite the train station? Even the top end is a good 5-10 mins walk away.

My sister and husband live in Darlington and some parts of it (admittedly on the outskirts) are really nice.

The city centre isn't too bad and quite a decent selection of shops, restaurants, cafes and bars from what I've seen.

Like anywhere, there are some dodgy bits and quite a few sex shops(!) but it's not as bad as people are making out and definitely on the up.
