I'd rather have lived in Whitley than its surrounding towns like North Shields & Shiremoor when i grew up...

Aye the sea front is shite like, as are the beaches... as a place to live though its nice FACT.

dont get us wrong the readiential side is top notch,,,the gaffs abround there are MAh00SiVE,,theres loads a 3 story "mansionettes" id swap in a heartbeat

Nah I agree parts of whitley bay are scabby however I like the street I live in and the parts around it....but the seafront looks horrible!

seahams sea front is the balls now but it was shite, we have got a chemical beach, the normal beach and the blast (where the mines used to dump slag and slurry on it) it was so barren it got chose as the opening scene for alien 3 wen the spaceship crashed into the water

saw this on the news today use to love spanish city like but to be fare its adump now days no offence to anyone that lives there.

but still has some lush charichtaristics.

No offence taken... nearly ever place has parts which are dumps such as heaton, fenham etc they all have parts which are shitholes but they also have nice parts too

never been to the bay but I don't think I'll bother if its that shit.
