Software to fit sets onto cd

    Any?

I know if I have a set that's 2 hours long it won't locically fit onto an 80min cd. But is there a way to do it? Changing formats, re-encoding at a lower bitrate or something? It's going to piss me off having a load of incomplete sets spread over cd's.

And no, I can't put them on as mp3 cos i lost my cd-mp3player and this shitey one is all I have for now.

You can get 99 min CDs though so as long as your writer is not too old to burn to them it's alot better than 80 min.

you can re encode at a lower bit rate but dont how far you will have to go to get it onto 1 cd...

Surely regardless of bitrate a minute is still a minute.

so, recording in CD Audio format, whatever the bitrate, will be limited by the amount of minutes you can fit on the cd! (I may be wrong on that one but that's as far as i know!)

Solution....use an mp3 compatible cd player!

Or you will just have to split it.

no matter what size the file is, if ur burning program (probs nero) will convert the file into audio format, lowering the bitrate will only make the quality worse

use soundforge, wavelab, audition to split the mp3 in half - only way to do it pal

btw luke, when u left work did u get your holiday pay? I've only been payed for hours i worked last week and the first week when i started. Theres no holiday pay but everyone reckons i'm entitled to it. Pretty gay seeing as I'm about £100 down on what I was expecting.
